So recently I stubled across this new flash based game called My Brute. I was over at a fellow internet entrepreneur’s blog Tyler Cruz and read about My Brute. MyBrute is a Flash game where two animated characters fight each other in an arena.

  My Brute has a completely random, hands off fight sequence. You simply choose who you want to fight and the computer fights for you, in 20-30 second fights. “You can just sit back and watch as the fight unfolds. There are no controls, there is no ability to dictate tactics ahead of time. Your character may pull out their weapon (if they have one), but you have no idea which weapon they may use, or if they throw it. Sometimes it is frustrating to watch your fighter charge headlong into their opponent’s spear, swinging their fists like a pissed-off toddler. However, it is pretty satisfying when you are almost dead and then dodge your opponent’s attacks before putting them down for a dirt nap.”

   The game has undergone exponential viral growth. Much of the growth is focused on getting people to sign up at your link (redeemedsoul.mybrute.com) to gain experience. Hence the reason why the game has gone viral so fast. Tyler does a good job explaining how fast it has grown and how it could be better monetized here.

   I wont get into all the nitty gritty details but will ask you to Check Out My Brute. The game is highly addictive, the only draw back is you are only allotted 3 fights per day. 2 experience for a win and 1 experience for a loss. Max xp gained = 6 while Min xp gained = 3, for any given day. Because of this you sort of need to recruit “pupils” to join(viral effect) to gain levels and progress in the game. As you sign up pupils, 2xp every sign up, they begin to fight and interact as well. As your pupils begin to level up it gives you experience points as well.
