I have seen several Evony websites, but none really get in depth on how to play the game to great effect. In other words, explain how to become the master of your area. First I will explain a few things I have not seen made clear in other “guides”. Second I will try and explain a strategy to assist you in becoming the dominate force in your area of the Evony world.

Town Design: 9/Cottages, 12/Barracks, 1 of everything other buidling. You will need a warehouse in your first city only and after that you can decide if your situation needs others in your various cities. Upgrade your Walls as well and do not neglect them. I would suggest concentrating on Archer Towers for your chosen defenses in your walls as well.

City Design: In your first city you will need to build one Farm, Iron Mine, Quarry (Research reasons) and the rest Lumber Mills. Your second city will be all Iron Mines. Work on your research for Mining and Lumbering quickly and make sure you conquer valleys that correspond to the city’s Specialty (Forest (lvl 10 preffered) for your city with Lumber Mills and Hills (lvl 10 preffered) for your city with Iron Mines. You will obvioulsy run short on stone and food (sell your extra resources of Iron and Lumber to buy Food and Stone). The more resources you have the more troops you can train.

First, follow the quests outlined in the game itself…they are pretty self explanatory. Build your city as quickly as possible and utilize the “Speed Up Button” for anything that takes a base of 5 minutes or less. This is not to say that your mayor will not make that time less than 5 minutes but the base time.

You will need the following mayors (Heroes); one Mayor (Hero)for each city that is high in “Politics” (100+) and only increase this statistic for that mayor. You will also need one and only one Mayor that is high in Intelligence, this mayor you can “Reinforce” to the city that is in need of a new Research. Train this mayor as well so that your research times are decreased dramatically. Lastly you will need several Heroes that are high in attack so that when you do attack you will loose less troops. This is very important. In order to take your first lvl 10 NPC I would suggest having 6-10 heros with 120+ attack statistic.

Ok you have your city design and your Inns and Feasting Halls are of a lvl to accomadate your Heroes/Mayors. Now what. You barracks are getting up there with a few at lvl 9, so now you need train those troops with all those resources. Make sure you are “Comforting” with “Prayer” to keep your Loyalty at 100% while you are online. This will give you the largest populations and you need that to train troops.

Well, the way in which you will be supporting your troops is through the blood of your enemies. You will need to get your barracks to lvl 6/8 as quickly as possible to do this. You need to this. Lvl 6 is for the transports you will need to take the plunder and lvl 8 is for the Ballista you will need in order to defeat the NPCs’ [Side note - Research your Archery and keep it 3 levels higher than your Horse Back Riding at all times until your Archery reached lvl 10. Then you can increase your Horse Back Riding to lvl 10 as well.] Make sure you have alot of Scouts in all your cities. You are less likely to be attacked by other players if they cannot scout you first. I suggest 50k to 100k scouts in each city as a minimum and 50k to 200k archers in each city as well. You will need 500 transports and 400 ballista for each attack on a lvl 5 NPC I suggest having 1000 transports and 800 ballista in each city at a minimum. This is what you want your beginner goal to be. This give you the most resources plunder for NPC’s with 0 loss of troops.
