We’ve been working on an exciting new feature for Evony and its ready for you to enjoy! Players on all Age II servers may now choose to participate in an election for the Governor of their server!

The Governor will be elected for a term of one week, and will have several powers delegated by the queen to help keep the peace and reward good behavior on the server. The Governor will have the following powers:

* Silence!: You may ban a Lord or Lady from using world chat for 30 minutes. Use by typing :silence username
* Restraint of trade: You may prevent a Lord or Lady from earning any gold for 30 minutes. Use by typing :restrain username
* Honor by Presence: You may set the loyalty of a Lord or Lady’s city to 100. Use by typing :honor username
* Favorable Consideration: You may grant a user 100,000 gold. Use by typing :favor username

These powers can only be used once per 30 minutes and will be monitored for potential abuse.

Voting for governor is simple. There is a new button on the interface labeled Polling Booth.

Once you click that, find the name of the player you wish to vote for and choose Vote.

Every player may vote once per day but you may not vote for yourself. At the end of the week, the winning player will become governor for that week! There are no term limits!

So grab your campaign posters and rally your base. It’s time for an election!
