Anime brawler shows it's about more than fisticuffs

NGames have revealed the varied & fun gameplay modes on offer in their recently released anime MMO, Pockie Ninja. While cooling down from the Naruto/Bleach inspired battles, players can explore the wilderness for rare items, take part in group/solo quests, capture powerful pets, take part in smashing (literally!) lotteries, synthesize items, and more!

Even ninjas need to take a break from fighting every once in a while.

With Pockie Ninja now in open beta, publisher NGames have revealed more information about the browser-based brawler's various gameplay modes, including everything from wilderness exploration and jar smashing mini games, to mob quests and pet training.

Exploring the great outdoors comes with many rewards in the Pockie Ninja universe. Besides performing storyline related quests – where players must help protect Angel City from the evil spilling out of Demon City's once-sealed walls – players can also search for special areas hidden within the beautiful in-game scenery.

Finding and clicking these areas will trigger random special events for budding ninjas to complete, rewarding players with items, equipments, pets, stones, EXP and more if successfully completed.

Life is a lottery, whether you're a highly skilled Ninja or not. So, why not try to win a bounty of cool prizes by entering Pockie Ninja's “Jar Smashing” lottery?

NGames have proudly revealed more details about their unique Jar Smashing mode, which rewards players with precious items and a large number of new, useful outfits.

Players can enter the Jar Smashing Lucky Draw in one of two ways: either by spending medals earned in battle, or by spending gold, which is Pockie Ninja's in-game currency. Players can win game coins, gems, gift coupons, or even "anime outfits" if they're lucky enough.

The Jar Smashing rewards vary depending on the level of a player's character, meaning that the higher level a ninja is, the better the reward they stand to win!

Pockie Ninja is also boasting a wildly varied Multiple Synthesis system, which players can use to combine their items for awesome, often unexpected results.

Players willing to gamble and experiment with their item combinations have the chance to reap awesome rewards from the Multiple Sythesis system. A great way for players to ensure they're heading into anime-inspired battles with some of the rarest and most unique items available in the Pockie Ninja universe!Pockie Ninja's world is roaming with potential pets for players to capture, nurture, and train to kick serious ass in combat!

An excellent pet can offer multiple roles of assistance to players, and each pet offers unique perks and benefits to it's owner, providing diversified and unexpected assistance in battle.

Pets can be raised and trained in the Pet Kennel, as well as upgraded via Synthesis by capturing another low-level version of the same pet and combining them into a higher level creature. Be careful though: just like combining items, your synthesis attempts won't always be successful, especially when trying to make a high level pet higher! 

Fighting, training pets, completing quests…it'd be easy for a Ninja to get overwhelmed with so much to do.

Luckily NGames have also revealed the Ninja Diary, which helps players keep track of all-things Pockie Ninja progress. The Ninja Diary details the quests a player has completed, quests available for them to take on, new content, daily information and more. A perfect way for casual and hardcore players alike to keep on top of their actions.

Furthermore, gameplay activity is rewarded with a number of daily gift coupons, unlocked by meeting the various “Liveness” requirements displayed in the Ninja Diary.

The way of the ninja is often as treacherous as it is adventurous; good job, then, that NGames have just confirmed a huge selection of special skills and battle techniques for their anime-inspired MMO, Pockie Ninja.

Publisher NGames have released more details for their upcoming browser-based brawler, this time detailing the 50 special skills and “hidden ninjutsu” techniques players can use in combat.

Staying true to the game's heavy focus on customisation, Pockie Ninja players will be able to mix and match a wide variety of skills from 10 different categories before they enter battle, allowing them to build a ninja that both kicks ass and completely suits their style of play.

Pockie Ninja's 50 battle skills are each divided into 10 different categories: fire, water, earth, lightning, wind, body technique, ninja tool, sealing technique, illusionary technique, and healing.

With each skill offering unique combat perks and benefits, players can build and constantly tweak their own personal repertoire of explosive techniques, customising it before, and even during, every battle.

At launch, each of the 10 categories will contain 5 skills to be mastered, including a basic default skill that's available from the beginning, as well as 4 battle skills that players will need to learn in-game.
Once a battle skill is learned, players will be able equip it for use in Pockie Ninja's anime-drenched battle showdowns.

But Pockie Ninja isn't just about learning all of the skills and becoming the strongest ninja in the land.
Players can equip 6 of their unlocked abilities before facing off against an opponent, meaning a  dose of tactical and strategic thinking is required to earn success in the arenas.

Add the fact that it's the game's engine that determines when skills will be cast, rather than the players themselves, and you can see how Pockie Ninja is as much about forward-thinking as it is watching fan favourite anime characters go toe-to-toe.

Buddhist Monk’s live by the notion that “Form is emptiness and the very emptiness is form”, but this rather horny Monk, who resides on the 50th floor of the Las Noches building (one of Pockie Ninja’s in-game challenges) seems to have completely forgotten his training fundamentals, thanks to the sight of a beautiful, naked woman enchanting him.

Players have tried everything to help the Monk beat his fixation, from water-release bathings to fire-release grills. But, no matter how hard they try, the Monk can’t seem to get his mind straight..

Alas, it’s too late to save this horny monk and, once he’s fixated on the sexy female form, he’s yours for the taking. Advice – always keep a naked woman by your side, you never know when you might need her (..for keeping monks at bay.)

NGames have announced that Pockie Ninja, their latest MMO brawler inspired by Naruto and Bleach, is entering an Open Beta phase on March 25th. Gamers and anime fans alike are encouraged to join the frantic fun, which will include a number of in-game events and rewards.

Publisher NGames have revealed a number of exciting in-game events for the open beta phase, including plenty of opportunities to win in-game prizes.

Online gaming and animé aficionados have been given a new haven, thanks to NGames launching www.PockieNinja.com, the official website for their upcoming anime-inspired MMO, Pockie Ninja.

When a mystery award-winning publisher started releasing information about “Project Ninja”, a secretive production inspired by some of anime’s greatest hits, many were simply left scratching their heads. What was “Project Ninja”, who was releasing the news, and what could anime fans expect from these Naruto-esque character images?

The lid was recently blown off the project and NGames revealed themselves as the mystery company, proudly announcing that a new, fighting MMO named Pockie Ninja is due for release in Q1 2011.
